Before commencing with a trace operation, the network connectivity model must be initialized by selecting the network, selecting the stop conditions, and clicking the Initialize button.
Note: The Use Fence option can be toggled on to limit the network trace to the network area covered by the active fence.
For the Water Industry Data Model, the following networks options are pre-configured for tracing:
For the Water trace option, the following stop conditions are pre-configured:
- None - no stop conditions
- Isolation Elements - stops at
- All Isolation Valve, Control Valve, and Direction Control Valve features
- Pressure Zone Boundaries - stops at
- All Isolation Valves with a operating status property with a value of 0 (= closed)
- All Control Valves, Direction Control Valves, Pumps
- All Facilities with a type property with a value of 4 (=Pump Station)
Note: The Network Trace engine is configurable and the number of network trace options and stop conditions can be modified and/or extended using the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Model Administrator.
